Lillio / HiMama alternative

MyLittleWorld vs Lillio (formerly HiMama)

Lillio is well-liked for daily reports and its curriculum and assessment tools. It's also priced per child and steers you toward a learning-and-assessment suite many small centres don't need. MyLittleWorld keeps the daily basics — and the billing — front and centre, at a flat price.

Where Lillio stops fitting a small centre

Per-child pricing adds up quickly

At a commonly reported $8–$12 per child per month, a 25-child centre pays roughly $200–$300 a month for the core platform — before curriculum or assessment add-ons.

The push is toward curriculum and assessment

Lillio's roadmap leans into lesson planning, child assessments, and professional development. Valuable for some programs; overhead for a centre that mostly needs check-in, reports, and tuition handled.

Billing isn't the core

Tuition billing on Lillio is an add-on rather than a first-class part of the product. MyLittleWorld builds plans, invoices, and late-fee tracking into the same workspace.

Annual commitment

Lillio is typically sold on an annual contract. If it isn't working in month three, you're still in it.

Lillio does not publish a fixed price; the per-child range reflects widely reported 2026 figures and varies by centre size and add-ons. MyLittleWorld's flat monthly price includes billing, enrollment, staff, and reporting with nothing gated.

Switching from Lillio: common questions

I use Lillio's assessment tools. Will I lose that?

MyLittleWorld includes lesson planning and activity tracking, but not a full developmental-assessment framework. If formal, framework-based child assessments are central to your program, Lillio may be the better fit. If you mainly need them occasionally, most centres manage fine.

How does migration work?

Export your children, families, and daily-report history from Lillio and send us the files. We rebuild your roster, classrooms, and pricing in MyLittleWorld, usually within a day or two.

Is MyLittleWorld cheaper for my size?

Almost always, once you're past about a dozen children. A 40-child centre is on our Starter plan; Lillio at $8–$12 per child would be roughly $320–$480 a month for the same 40 kids.

Does MyLittleWorld work in French?

Yes — the whole product and the parent app work in English and French, which Lillio does not currently offer.

So which should you pick?

Choose Lillio if formal curriculum and developmental assessment are central to how you run your program. Choose MyLittleWorld if your priority is running the centre — check-in, reports, tuition, staff, enrollment — at a flat price, in English or French.
