A little while ago, I made a diorama/sculpture of Kodama (they are cute/creepy forest spirits from the movie Princess Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki). It was for my son’s girlfriend. It took a really long time to make since I was not familiar with the materials; it was made from a 4×4 block of cedar and epoxy putty. It took a while to build up, wait for layers to dry and then paint. But I learned quite a bit from the piece and it put me on the path to 3D art.
